I know you’ve heard, (hell, I’m sure everyone and their mama has heard by now) that the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is here and you can shop now if you’re a card holder and in a few days for those that are not. I’ve shopped this sale in the past years and have really loved it. It’s usually a great one to add new Fall trend items to your closet for the transition period from summer to Fall. I’m spilling the tea on this years sale and why I’m not really giving two SIPS for it compared to the past years. I know I’m about to bust a few bubbles, but I want to be as transparent as I can be on my blog and to give you all my honest opinions about everything…..the good and the not so good…..Click to read the full post and see the 6 items I purchased from the 2019 Nordstrom Anniversary Sale and Why!Read More
My husband and I make it a priority to have a date night at least once a week. It’s our chance to step away from the endless to do lists that come from parenting, working, and just being an adult. It’s a chance for us to talk about our hopes and dreams (yes, we are still adults with hopes and dreams) without the interruptions and distractions of home life, a time for us to reconnect. Another reason I look forward to these nights (mainly it’s the wine, ha! and food) is because they might be my only chance to dress up that week and I have fun dressing up for my husband on date nights.
Summer Date Nights are no different, aside from the blazing heat and high humidity that I have grown accustom to in the South. For this reason, dresses are usually my go to on date nights or a cute…Read More
It seems like lately, I am constantly discussing instagram engagement rate/reach strategies with fellow boss babe business women, locally, and the ones I’ve come to meet through the blogging/instagram world. The instagram algorithm has changed, yet again, and this always causes such an uproar. Sometimes the shift in algorithm can affect your engagement rate and your reach or impressions. If instagram isn’t changing their algorithm then their updating something else where they knock off hundreds, if not thousands of followers from your following. I, for one, am not sad to see the followers that they do knock off go, because these are usually bots/spam accounts that I really don’t want following me in the first place and that are really, secretly hurting my engagement rate. But for some, especially ones that really don’t understand how it all works, this can be very discouraging. If you’re totally new to the instagram world and all of the lingo, and you have no idea what “engagement rate” even means, fear not…..I’m about to explain it all.Read More

The Balcony on Church Street is an event venue in downtown Fairhope, Alabama with a wrap around balcony giving you panoramic views of Fairhope Avenue and Church Street! It’s in the heart of downtown and I’ve seen many events happening from below, and frankly, was a little jealous I was not at these soirees that were looking like something straight out of a movie scene! It can accommodate roughly……Read More

The minute the Fall season officially rolled in, I have been anxiously awaiting the day I can (fo real) wear a sweater (with out being a “sweater”) and my over the knee boots. Happy Sunday! I hope you all have enjoyed the weekend! I’ve been getting so many questions about some of the things we traveled with when we went to Europe and how I packed. I thought I would share some of my must have items when traveling that helped me stay organized and helped me look put together, even when I was feeling anything but.
#1 on my list is having the right luggage. I love a good matching luggage set and I try to match everyone and coordinate as best as we can. I will now only travel withRead More
