I'm loving this whole 2 piece set trend. It makes dressing so easy...easy like grade school days when your mom was laying out your clothes for you....NO BRAINER EASY! (Gosh I miss those days...even though at the time, I may or may not have given my mom complete H-E-DOUBLE L for everything she would try to dress me in (I was a little strong willed to say the least). Back to the two piece sets.... They're the best thing to happen since tan towels, (ok, maybe not that good, but you get my point). With four kids, a tennis pro traveling husband, and being a realtor......sets just make my life easier when dressing for an occasion. I love how I can mix and match them with other things. The two pieces are better together (like Sundays and Brunch) but can totally hold their own separately. (I'll eat brunch any day of the week....#brunchislife who's with me?!?).
Two-Piece sets are really a great bang for your "clothing" buck!! Especially when you can find a deal like this one which the entire set costs $33 (SAY WHAAAA!?) You "RED" that "STRIPE"!!! I did have the waist tacked in a little on the skirt because I wanted it to be a little bit higher on my waist so the skirt just met the bottom of the top. I will totally pair this skirt with just a white tee and some slide sandals for a casual day look. I have also put this crop top over a white tee and worn with cut offs and also my distressed denim jeans. I wouldn't rock the crop top on its own without a tee under or another high waisted bottom, but if you're younger and comfortable with it, then rock on!! The set is from Forever 21 Top - HERE and Bottom - HERE. I am wearing the size small. Runs Small IMO (but all forever 21 runs small to me). I also found this one below..........
This one is from Dillards and is not online yet. But once it is, I'll link it HERE. The brand is GB Gianni Bini and was purchased in the Junior section. I am wearing a size XS in the top and the skirt and it runs TTS in my opinion. The price for the top is $44 and the skirt is $64. $108 for the entire set!! WHOOP WHOOP! I love purchasing a two piece set for a dressier function such as a wedding more than a dress because for me, the dress will only get worn that one time. I don't know why that is and it drives my husband crazy. But this set I could definitely get lots of wear out of! Multiple times, multiple different ways, and get my money's worth.(I'm trying to buy smarter in my old (but I'm not that old) age)!!
