4 LOOKS FOR THE 4TH OF JULY
The Fourth of July is one of my favorite holidays! I love everything it represents and I love celebrating our amazing country in which I am so blessed to get to live in! Living on the coast means mine will most likely be spent by or on the water! What about you? Where will you be spending this Fourth of July holiday? No matter where you will be spending it, I gotchu covered on what to wear with these 4 festive looks.
1. BEACH/boat DAY CHIC
This look can go from beach/boat day over a bathing suit to cruising around the water firework watching. I'm a ruffle kind of gal so of course my favorite detail on this gingham top and eyelet shorts is the ruffle details. This bag is also so versatile (who loves the straw bag trend!?...this girl right here) from a day out on the beach carrying your towel and sunscreen to a fun night out. These sunglasses are also my new favs. I love how the white pops and I love even more the price!!
2. day to night on the town
If your 4th of July plans have you celebrating in town, (with not a beach in site) this look is so perfect! It's light, breezy which means you'll stay relatively cool (if you're in Alabama, then sorry love, you'll still be sweating your arse off) and can take you from day to night with the swap of some shoes! Plus it will provide those beach day vibes you're missing!
These ruffle shorts I am obsessed with and so glad I made the purchase. I purchased with a matching cami (set), but I love to mix and match to get more bang for my buck! And this BCBG eyelet top was on sale for $33 at my local Dillards, so it was just too good of a price to pass up and I always need cute white tops! These Jeffrey Campbell shoes I scored off of eBay! There are so many good deals on eBay Fashion, but I'll save that for another blog post. I added the pop of red in with a handbag!
3. the look for the Hamptons
Ok, but seriously, you don't have to be in the Hamptons to wear this Maxi, but I sure do feel like I am when I'm wearing it! If your 4th of July plans are a little more dressy, then this dress is perfect for the occasion. I love that I can take the tie off and add a small white belt on it to change the look for later!
4. the ALL OCCASSION LOOK
Why do I always forget about skorts!? I need so many more of them in my life! They might just become a part of my new Summer uniform (like an upgrade to my Lulu lemon skirts). I can look like I'm wearing a skirt in the front all cutesy like and then (if needed, which is 97% of the time with George) take off in a full sprint to chase my kiddos around and not be worried about anything showing in the back!! This one in particular I found at Dillards. It is so flattering and the fit is perfect. It sits higher on the waist which I also love!
I'm also loving the smocked tops. Most that I have seen are so cropped that I just can't do on a regular basis or I have to search for just the right high waisted bottom to work with the croppedness (definitely not a word, but you know what I'm talking about) of the top! This one is the perfect length for any bottom. These shoes are Marc Fisher and were a steal from DSW. They are super comfy considering the height of the wedge! You can also dress this look down down a notch with just changing up the shoe to a flat slide!
Pretty much all of these looks on this post will work for however you decide to celebrate this Fourth of July Holiday. I love to dress for the occasion, but I don't like to be too over the top with the red, white, and blue! I definitely try to create looks with items I've already purchased for the Summer season entailing that I'm not just buying something to wear it one time. All of these pieces from these looks you can wear all summer long, not just for the 4th! However you decide to celebrate this Fourth of July Holiday, I hope it's a safe and happy one!!!
